We do what we can to ensure that your privacy is respected.
Our general, plain English statement is that we don't collect information about you over and above what we would consider as being 'normal'.
We also aim to go further, by providing you with the choice to not have our optional cookies saved on your computer, thereby reducing the information collected down to the minimum possible.
With your permission, we set a few cookies on your computer (four that begin with '__utm') so that we can have access to Google Analytics services. You can read more about Google Analytics on their site here, if you wish to see why we find it so useful.
Google stores the analytics data, not us. Google collects information about how you got to our site, and how you moved around it, and further information on the data they collect is available at on their site here. We don't gain access to personally identifiable information through Google Analytics, it merely provides us with trends and analysis.
If you consent to our optional cookies, we save one further cookie (called 'cookies') to your computer that tells our web server remember that you have consented to our cookies (so that we don't keep on asking you).
Our own cookie will be deleted when you close your web browser, but some of Google's are set to remain for two years (although we do try and remove these for you when you come back to our site for a subsequent visit).
You can easily remove cookies from your computer yourself at any time, and options to manage cookies are usually found in either Privacy or Options tabs within preference panels accessed from your browser's main menu (usually found under headings such Edit, Tools, Options, or if you're using a Macintosh under the menu option with name of the application you're using).
Our own server - like all web servers - logs your visit including your Internet Protocol (IP) address and date and time of visit. All data on our server is kept within the United Kingdom, we never share this information with anyone unless compelled to do so by law.
